Smart Park & Ride Solutions: Municipality of Eindhoven x My Way
P&R Genneper Parken in Eindhoven has become the go-to parking location for local sports associations, including HC Oranje-Rood. With the city removing on-street parking, providing accessible alternatives for visitors became essential. The exclusive partnership with My Way ensures free Park & Ride access for sports field visitors, turning a previously underutilized facility into a convenient and user-friendly solution. Eindhoven had already invested a significant amount in the development of the site, and My Way was able to seamlessly integrate with the existing IP Parking infrastructure, including barriers and ANPR cameras, while adding the necessary user experience for this specific use case.
For the Municipality of Eindhoven, the collaboration supports sustainable urban planning and contributes to a greener, more livable city. By moving parked cars off the streets, the city can better manage traffic flows and reduce congestion, while still earning revenue at the location. Prior to My Way, the parking lot had very low occupancy, but with the platform in place, the city now collects €3 per booking across more than 500 weekly bookings, effectively alleviating parking stress while maintaining control over access rights in a city that continues to reduce parking capacity.
