Smart Park & Ride: Municipality of Eindhoven x My Way

P&R Genneper Parken in Eindhoven is now the main parking location for local sports associations, including HC Oranje-Rood. With the city removing on-street parking, visitors needed an accessible alternative. Through the exclusive partnership with My Way, sports field visitors get free Park & Ride access, and a previously underused facility is now easy to use. Eindhoven had already invested a significant amount in developing the site. My Way connected to the existing IP Parking infrastructure, including barriers and ANPR cameras, and added the user experience this use case needed.

For the Municipality of Eindhoven, the collaboration fits its plans for sustainable urban development and a greener, more livable city. Moving parked cars off the streets helps the city manage traffic flows and reduce congestion, and the location still earns revenue. Before My Way, the lot had very low occupancy. Now the city collects €3 per booking across more than 500 bookings a week, which eases parking stress while it keeps control over access rights and continues to reduce parking capacity.

For users, My Way means a better parking experience at an affordable price. Visitors enter the P&R automatically with the My Way app. The integration with existing parking hardware keeps the process reliable and easy to use, and because the city endorses it, residents and visitors can start using My Way without much hesitation.

Through this collaboration, My Way turned P&R Genneper Parken from an underused facility into an example of smart, sustainable urban parking. Both the municipality and the public benefit, and the city gets a more livable street scene with modern parking.
